18 frets short scale Danelectros???!!!  Yep!  Click here to read some brief history of these necks and the guitars they went on.

------------ oOo ------------

Please pardon some camera focus gliches in some of these photos;  I have a new camera and haven't yet taken enough pictures to better know and understand the macro (close-up) depth of field and sensor focusing.

This neck came from the Danelectro factory liquidation auction when original vintage Danelectro / Coral / MCI went out of business in 1969 and liquidated their spare parts and tooling at auction.  The nylon nut shows that it was destined for a non-electric economy model acoustic guitar, such as acoustic "Firefly", teardrop, or longhorn bodies made by Kawai that had recently been added to the Danelectro guitars lineup when Danelectro went out of business. It is still the same neck used for electric guitars as well.

This neck has seal coats but does not have clear top coats of finish.  Also notice that the tuners string shaft holes are not drilled for bushings; Another sign that this neck was destined for one of Danelectro's non-electric acoustic guitars, the economy end of Danelectro's lineup.

This neck has some minor marrs due to 43 years of handling, visible in this neck's 2 webpages of photos:
